Root canal therapy is one of the most common dental procedures in dentistry. It is indicated when the center of the tooth containing the pulp chamber, which contains the nerves and blood supply of the tooth, is infected or irreversibly inflamed. Many times tooth pain due to decay, fracture or for no specific reason at all indicates root canal therapy be done. Many times the only solution to relieving your symptoms of pain is a root canal therapy.
